We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to cancel all proceedings to re-claim overpayments paid by the Tax Credit Office (TCO) where it is shown that overpayments made to families were the fault of the HMRC. Due to errors made on the part of the TCO, many recipients of tax credits have been overpaid.
Many recipients are hard-pressed and can not afford to repay money to the TCO. Claims of overpayment, when the fault of the TCO, should be cancelled, as it is wrong to make people pay for the errors wholly caused by government departments.
